About Prayer Vigils
On the Chrysalis flight there is constant prayer that surrounds and permeates everyone involved in the event. This prayer manifests itself visibly as the 72 hour prayer vigil the catterpillars see during the weekend. At any time during the weekend they can look at the vigil and see that someone is praying for them, whether they know them or not. Any hour of the day, any hour of the night, they can go to the vigil and see that somewhere, someone is praying for them at that very moment. It is a truly amazing feeling for the catterpillars and a simple yet powerful way you can be involved in this experience.
The vigil begins the night before the cats arrive, when the team and 4thday are setting up for the arrival of the cats, and continues until they leave after closing. On the first day of the flight when the idea of agape is introduced to the catterpillars, the vigil is posted on the wall for the cats and team to view throughout the weekend. At the end of the weekend, it is passed on to the lay director to take care of.

Sponsors, make sure you sign up, your cat will be looking for your name. Choose a spot that works for you, and by all means, sign up for more than one spot. Take two or three. Write yourself a reminder and them on that day and at that time, pray. You don't have to be at the church to pray. You don't have to be any place special either. Pray in your car. Pray while you work out. Wake up in the middle of the night and pray. It doesn't matter where, just sign up and pray.
