About Table Agape

Table agape is an easy, heartfelt, and much needed way to be a part of the Chrysalis weekend. Think of how much it meant to you to just be overwhelmed with all those pieces of agape. It started out as a trickle, grew to a stream, and then finally a flood. You can easily be a part of this agape flood by sitting down by yourself, with your family, or your reunion group and making up some agape. You can get the agape to the flight by dropping it off yourself if you are sponsoring or transporting someone to the flight, or by getting it to someone you know will be there like a sponsor or team member.

Agape Guidelines

Counts

48 - This covers all the caterpillars and table leaders on a full flight

60-70 - This covers all caterpillars and all of team on a full flight.

Labeling

You might recall how some of the agape on your flight had a scripture or other message relating to the gift of agape on it. This is fine to include on the agape you make and it is fine to include the reunion group name or church name on it as well. However, we ask that you do not put your names on it. This agape is supposed to represent God's abundant love and by remaining anonymous, we shine the light on God and not upon ourselves.

Packaging

You can your agape in a bag, a box, whatever. We just ask that if at all possible you write on the outside of it the number of pieces that you've made so the Background team can figure out whether it goes to tables only or to everyone. Additionally, if you are making necklaces or some other item that tangles easy, it would be appreciated if you could keep them separated somehow to make them easier to give to the cats. If not, then so be it.

Agape Themes

Agape is not introduced until 3:00 on the first day and is put out in ever increasing amounts as the weekend continues. The first day is kind of light, the second day is a reasonable amount, and on the third day, you cover them in agape. Below is a list of themes for the different days if you wish to tailor your agape to a specific day.
